Packaging Elements That Influence Vending Sales

Packaging is nothing but the art of presenting the finished product to customers. It is quite natural for human beings to get lured by attractive and good looking things. This is the main reason why operators prefer to dispense latest products in latest machines. Vending is an instinct based business in which operators have limited period to grab customer attention and convince him to purchase your product.

Packaging is the best way that can create visual impact and stimulate customers to purchase a product. Product manufactures use this technique while packing products. Three elements play vital role while designing appealing packaging.

• Color: Bright and attractive colored packed products grab the attention of customers. Colors are often related to emotional status of an individual. The products in your machine should be in such a way that they are able to grab the attention of customers even from a far off distance. For instance, green is a color that is associated with organic soda machine products like tea and health drinks. Bright colors on the other hand are known to be more fun and pleasing. A vending machine with bright colored products is capable of tantalizing customers who are forced to take a closer look and thus purchase the product.

• Graphics: People are more familiar with branded products, so marking the machine with logos, pictures or fonts can attract customers. Animated characters and cartoons are best suited if you are targeting kids. This is one reason why most operators are advised to place branded items in their machines. Branded items are renowned internationally and hence they are easily recognised by most of the customers.

• Shapes and sizes: Some products come in standards shapes and sizes. These make help customers in distinguishing these products from those of its competitors. However, manufacturers have started making changes in them. For instance, soft drink cans are made more slender and taller than their previous forms.
